Yeah - I figured that out when I let a few over-wintered carrots flower and go to seed. Beautiful flowers.
I did hear that something similar looking is posionous... Can’t remember what it was....
Oh, I’m sure, I was just kiddin’. I definately don’t relish the possibility. I’ll take the America we have today with all it’s flaws over having to forrage to eat. I’ll be glad if Obama can just manage not to completely cause any kind of collapse. God crafted me with a deep seated affinity for comfort and ease. :D
Maybe I should bookmark this thread just in case. Do you think FreeRepublic would be available if I need it? :)
The one time I went on a wild food outing, we ate chicken of the woods, which is a poisonous mushroom. The guide had to leach it in water for several iterations to get the acid out of it. Similar to leaching acorns. It had almost no taste, but it did have the consistency of chicken. The mushroom people know about these things. It is all dangerous unless you have prior knowledge of what is safe. I was not real keen on eating a leached mushroom. I suppose it is useful information for survival purposes.
LOL! Kudzu pops up everywhere! It's only fitting for it to take root in this thread.
Kudzu would take root on bare concrete.
Thanks. Marking.
