Is Dave Espino the Anti-Christ?
Self | February 15, 2009 | PJ-Comix

Is Dave Espino the Anti-Christ? I have seen his get rich quick infomercials for making money on eBay for over a year. However, when I check on the Web, I see tons of complaints about him. Think about it. Bottom line seems to be that all the "advice" he gives you is stuff you can get free on the Web.

You want to make money on eBay? Then buy low and sell high with products that are in demand. Also if you have a good deal going, you would keep it a secret. Years ago I placed a few cold calls to wholesale outlets in Los Angeles. I lucked out since I found an electronics distributor that was purchasing refurb digital cameras at auction and the guy didn't want to spend time selling on eBay so he offered me a drop-ship deal for digital cameras. That worked out great for about 6 months until his supply dried up. However, do you think I would have broadcast this over the web so as to get more competitors and drive the prices down? Of course not.

Also I find Espino kind of creepy. His has an inhumanely slick way of speaking. So could he be the Anti-Christ?

Web reviews of Dave Espino are almost universally negative.

I have no idea who Espino is, but as an ebay seller, I can tell you that there is an art to it, as opposed to “selling a few items”.

One of the first rules is never to drop ship. You are putting your reputation in the hands of somebody else, and on ebay, all you have is a reputation.

I have taken the ebay seminar, and can tell you that it is the best $50 investment somebody can make, if they even have an interest in ebay selling. It would amaze you to see how many people make money on ebay. The one day seminar in Salt Lake City, on a Saturday, brought in, I would guess, 1500 people. It amazed me how people were making money, and some big bucks. I talked to business owners who employ 5-10 people, and ONLY sell on ebay.

Make your peace with God right now, PJ. Some things are better left unsaid.

I'm not saying you can't make money on eBay. I am just saying that Espino is almost universally condemned on the Web for offering "services" you can find for yourself for free.

As for drop shipping, it worked out great for me. It was in 1999 when I found an electronics distributor who drop-shipped for me. Most of what I sold were refurb Sony Mavica digital cameras. He charged me $280 for each camera which I didn't pay until they were sold. Most of the cameras sold between $350 and $450 and he charged me only $5 UPS shipping. I never had a problem with his services except that when his digital camera supply dried up, the only stuff he had left was mostly obsolete electronics.

Huh? I was trying to be humorous but if you look on the Web, Espino is not exactly a saint to quite a few people.

I don’t know about the anti Christ, but he’s a tremendously annoying con man. Although he stopped running his ads around here, now they’re running Blue Hippo ads again.

Since I have no idea who he is, I’d say no.

The worst thing about Espino (besides his scam) is that really annoying inhumanely slick voice he has. As to teaching people how to sell on eBay, I used to do the same thing for a very minor charge. Basically I used to mostly say “whatever it says to do, do.” whenever eBay wanted them to provide info to set up their account.

Years ago, I heard one of the actors from Happy Days exclaim jokingly that “Scott Baio is the Anti-Christ!” It cracked me up.

No. Who’s ever heard of him? The Anti-Christ will be a world leader of some kind, and while I don’t think it is Obama, it will be someone like him that the crowds go crazy for, can’t get enough of him, will swoon over him, and even some of the Elect will be decieved.

I always thought he would be the person you would least likely suspect which made me suspect that it was Orville Redenbacker.

What's wrong with that? If I can get less intelligent people to pay for something that costs me nothing, I'm a happy camper. As long as they feel they have gotten value for their bucks, they're happy campers. Buyer's remorse is universal. If they find out they could have gotten for free what they paid me for, they should be P.O.ed at themselves, not me.

Pretty much anyone who advertises get rich quick schemes is a con man. If the schemes were so lucrative they wouldn’t be offering to sell you the concept. I love watching those informercials, particularly the one that sells some stuff that is supposed to cleanse your colon of toxins. They show a great picture of a green slimy 5 pound hunk of goo that was supposed to have been in someone’s colon. It’s great entertainment.

Remember Joe Land? He was exposed as a fraud on his real estate scam and then he switched to another get rich quick scheme. His method was infomercials advertising free real estate seminars then after his presentation at the seminar, he would pitch his useless real estate books.

And then there was Dave del Doddo.

I dunno, Obama strikes me as maybe a cut above President Bush, except that while he doesn't stumble over every other word, he probably doesn't even know the speech is about until he reads it off the teleprompter.

The constant "uh-uhhh, uh-uhhh!" doesn't fill me with loads of confidence either. It's like the moment he reads what he's supposed to say he's trying to process it but it's not computing.

And just to emphasize, I mean only “speech-wise”. He’s certainly nothing near the man President Bush is.

No. The Anti-Christ is going to be universally admired. So the “tons of complaints” about Mr Espino effectively rule him out.

Back in the 70’s there was a scheme teaching people how to buy real estate with credit cards. Theoretically it was possible if you could buy and sell a home within 30 days before the interest on the cards came due, but in the overwhelming number of cases, people went bankrupt quickly.

0bama is not the anti-christ.

But 0bama certainly appears to be anti-Christian!
