Watch out! They can grow as tall as humans (short humans, anyway), but the really tall ones can be very rascally.

Big as a Lamb! I don’t think so. What if they escaped and started breeding in the wild?

From his lack of strain, you can tell he’s really holding a rabbit which is much smaller than it appears, but he’s holding it up to the camera.

How timely this article is. We are just now putting in hutches to breed rabbits for meat. One of those puppies would fill half my freezer. Wow. I want.

Rabbit is a very delicious and low fat white meat.
My mom raised rabbits of the “New Zealand Red” variety with a back-cross to a giant breed for extra meatiness; she won the “meat pen” at the Fair so often they asked her to please stop competing in that event.

Anybody remember this cheesey movie? Giant killer rabbits devour humans in a small town.

I don’t get it. The Valenciano breed was created by crossbreeding and produced for meat content like any other farm animal intended for human consumption. And it is said to breed prodigeously. These are not factors that would lead to near extinction.
Did it cease to be profitable due to competition from cheaper sources of meat?
Just curious.
