If I were a CEO with a corporate jet, I’d be bringing this pork barrel spending trip up every time I was asked.
“Mr. CodeToad, do you own a private jet that...”
“Wait there, Mr. Senator, I’ll answer that question when you explain why the taxpayers paid for Obama to take that huge Air Force One 747 jet to Denver to sign the trillion dollar Porkulous bill. His single trip cost more than my entire lifetime’s worth of trips. Your pork barrel spending bill cost the taxpayers millions of times more than my jet trips have ever cost.”
Really now! How much does one of these trips cost taxpayers? Fuel. Security. The price tag has got to be enormous. I’d like to know the price tag so someone out there can throw it in his face when he starts his preaching.
Bush. But it might not count, since he didn’t want the bill iin the first place.
Bush signs Homeland bill; border fence coming

Standing before a mountainous backdrop in Arizona, a state that has been the center of debate over secure borders, President Bush this week signed into law a $35 billion Homeland security spending bill that could bring hundreds of miles of fencing to the busiest illegal entry point on the U.S.-Mexican border.

I do believe the GAO says AFO costs $68,000/hour to fly. That does not include the Secret Service detail, the free food for the “journalists”, etc. I bet Obama blew not less than $5,000,000 to go to Denver.
He sure is living the high life for someone who said he wouldn’t.
