I wish I could find it, but I remember one episode of all in family where Meathead was calling Archie a thief because he brought home some old tools (or office supplies or something). He's very sanctimonious about how Archie is ripping off the company and how that's costing everyone more money etc. etc.

Later Meathead gets a collect call and it turns out he has a code with his buddy when he calls collect that he can get the message through without actually having to pay for the collect call.

Archie rightly points out that Meathead is doing the exact same thing, ripping off the phone company.

Meathead finally admits "You're right. I'm a victim of our society!"

Classic. Liberals are victims when they rip someone off. Conservatives are thiefs.

My memory on the son’s death is hazy ... I remember he sued someone relating to his son’s death (and won). Must have been the drug dealer.

It’s great to hold all those liberal/progressive views till they hit home.

That’s right. They live in Ivory Towers, especially the peace weenies. I felt badly for Carroll O’Connor when I heard what happened to his son. I think it may have turned him around however. Too bad that that’s what it takes sometimes.
