Just in case you REALLY wanted to know while on the go...
A new cell phone chip developed by Applied Nanodetectors apparently has the ability to detect inebriation, early signs of lung cancer, food poisoning, asthma, as well as things such as carbon monoxide, ammonia, and nitrous oxide. All you have to do is blow in a little hole on the outside of the device and it does all of that. Never heard of the company? Neither had we. But they've won several awards recently. You can check them out on their website. More info on this when it becomes available.
Uh-oh..., no more calling in sick for work to take the day off... LOL...
So when will they require all drivers to “blow” into “BigBrotherOnStar’s” tube before starting ‘their’ car?
There are already some states kicking around such a notion even in the absence of any arrest or trial.
And the tech world supports such things. Look at all the revenue made by a private concern (upwards of 50% of every ticket) by those marketing red light cameras.
My wife’s friend taught in S Koread for a few years and actually had one of these on her cell phone when she came to visit a while back.
Pretty cool.
Here in AZ the Republicans moaned and groaned about our fascist Democrat governor’s love of cameras every ten feet on the freeway.
Now they’re completely in power and not a peep out of them.
I used to have a girlfriend who could tell if I was smoking a cigarette when I talked to her on the phone.
Before my girlfriend quit I could do the same thing. It was quite easy to tell the difference between her normal breathing patterns and cigarette inhales/exhales.
