There are SO many wonderful memories from that day, Meg.

It is a tradition here - when anyone gets married in the chapel, the second the minister says, “I now pronounce you husband and wife”, the doors open and the chapel bells start ringing, echoing through the town. It is a real goose-bumper.

My husband was so overwhelmed, he broke down twice during the ceremony - and the minister reassuringly patted his arm, and told him to just take a deep breath.

There was not one dry eye in the chapel that morning.

Thank you for showing the picture, and opening up a flood of beautiful memories.

Lovely story and reminds me “And the chapel bells were ringing” not sure the name of the song but know some of the words. Seems to me that song wasn’t about a wedding though..I am trying to remember! (I’m sure you know)!!

My son just called and he cooked a Boston butt Roast and is going to pull the meat and make barbeque for supper tonight and wants me to come down. Am I lucky or not? He is a good cook!
