Oh, thank you Meg! I have been so busy - I’ve hardly been online all weekend. Potatoes are 99 cents for five pounds at Safeway this weekend only - and I’m peeling, slicing, steam-blanching, drying and then placing the slices on racks for the dehydrator. I hope to have 30# finished by Tuesday or Wednesday. Then, I’ll be doing sliced mushrooms and gala apples that were half price today, too.
With the skyrocketing prices of food, it is nice to get some things half price (or better), and save them for future use.
