That’s what we suggest our customers use. It is about the least “heavy” when it comes to slowing down the machine, and one of the most effective at preventing infections.

Norton and McCaffee are horrible. Especially about slowing down older computers.

I keep Webroot Spy Sweeper (paid fee) and McAfee (came free with Comcast) running all the time, and I occasinally run Lavasoft AdAware (paid fee). I also routinely run my Webroot Window Washer (bought it years ago and keep it updated). I have NEVER had a virus problem on this old Dell with XP. I also keep up with all the Windows updates whenever that little yellow shield shows up in the toolbar.

Of course, I’ve never been stupid enough to open anonymous email attachments, either, and I only open attachments from known senders when I’m expecting them and they interest me.
