As we've been seeing lately, those votes are being cast in many statehouses right now as sovereignty declarations.

If Obama really expects the several states to cede their territory to China without a bloody fight he's a bigger fool than I already think he is.

No. I am a grown-up and can deal one on one directly.

Signing on to a forum and gunning for other posters from the get-go does not strike me as conservative behavior.

Fee-fi-fo-fum.

What does the maritime incident have to do with this ridiculous claim about China being granted em/dom within the US?
FON operations are rather commonplace in around the Straits of Taiwan most of you would be surprised, and probably fearful of war if you knew the frequency and the details of these encounters.

Source of this crap seems to some white supremacist wingnut named Hal Turner who runs a webcast radio show and blog. It is sad that so many of you are so ready to believe this. There are real concerns - real problems - and real fights that need our energy - focus people, focus.

You’re forgetting how the Chinese tested Mr. Bush in his first term, apparently.

To refresh your memory, a Chinese pilot collided with a P3 Orion on a routine mission and they were forced to land in Chinese territory?

They kept the crew hostage for 11 days?

Dianne Feinstein blubbers on television for the US to apologize so she can keep her investments in Shanghai?

Bush capitulates and sends a formal appology for something we did not do?

Remember?

Please, don’t give them any more ideas, Mr. Jeeves.

He doesn't need to. Nixon was the first to collateralize the Western mineral estate after the collapse of the Brettonwoods Agreement.

This is the kind of stuff Alex Jones and Hal Turner talk about.

To accomplish what your post thinks is happening would require a formal treaty between the US & China and then the full Senate would have to approve it, which will never happen unless 2/3 of our Senators suddenly decide that they'd like to end their political careers.

First of all, I'm truly delighted to see you as a young person here at FR. I have two very sharp teen-age daughters who hang out here and are just as committed to turning this mess around whom you may wish to know: NattieShea and PowerBaby.

There are a lot of people here who are amazingly knowledgeable, albeit they don't suffer challenges lightly. It can get a little rough if you step on toes without properly armored feet, so it is in your interest to enjoy this great opportunity to learn with respect and humility.

OK, you just got that I'm about to tell you things don't work the way you think. That's true. Here's your first little mind bomb...

Per Article 2, Section II, Clause 2 of the Constitution for the United States, it doesn't take 2/3 of the Senate to ratify a treaty; it takes 2/3 of "Senators present." It can happen in the dark of night with no quorum, and has. If you wish to read more about this history, please consider this article and get back to me.

Again ... what on earth does this have to do with the eminent domain BS fabrication hoax nonsense?

And, no I’m not forgetting - it is simply a different discussion.

You cannot draw any sort of reasonable connection between real issues and fabrications made out of thin air by some whackjob white supremacist. Hal Turner is a freak - an idiot - and is entirely non-credible. I’m done wasting my time on this.

hedgetrimmer is telling you we will see more of this kind of hazard as long as we rely upon large amounts of Chinese cash to finance of our operating deficit. Effectively, if this is not real, one should remain on guard for something similar.

This has been going on since the end of WWII, regularly since the 70s. Anyone who thinks this kind of thing is new or that this incident reflects some sort of unique situation has not been paying attention, and likely has not been to this region of the world in uniform.

Nixon and Brettonwoods, yup.

I can assure you that ht knows this is not new and has been paying very close attention. What you are seeing is a matter of degree, the habit of dealing with the clueless, and the habitual need to call it to public attention.

If you read the thread, you’ll see that no one is believing anything. My disclaimer at top was “it may or may not be true.” Most of the discussion is admittedly speculation.

And when it comes to real problems, real issues, then YOU need to be there “dealing with them” instead of here. In fact, why waste time posting on a forum at all?

Yes, I think it was traced in part to Hal Turner.

The sheeple are not supposed to remember anything. That's what I like about the typical FReeper; we are not sheeple, we fight against it.

I do deal with real issues - daily in fact.

Posting on a forum is sometimes a good way to share information, get information, and exchange ideas. A good many public demonstrations have been organized through this particular forum, as I’m sure you well know.

Disinformation such as this is a cancer - it feeds on the fears of the ill-informed and it causes damage to the credibility of the forum as a whole.

.

As to your disclaimer - it’s BS. You put in a disclaimer so it wouldn’t get deleted like the other threads on this same crap. You are trying to get an idea out there ‘for discussion’ - but what’s the point of discussing complete and utter fabrications started and spread by a known white supremacist nutball?

Perhaps tomorrow you could start a thread discussing the merits of holocaust deniability, or perhaps the coming age where the sky will be green with purple polka-dots instead of the blue we have come to know and love...

Have you ever looked at my posting history, my links and thought maybe I am a real person? Maybe I came here originally to try to do some good for my Country, and that has included supporting our Troops....??

Do I need to clear everything I post with you?

One thing for certain, I would not want to meet you in person at one of those FR events you extol. Some of those come off pretty kooky, too.

To each their own. We shall part ways.

Disinformationists use name calling and ridicule to stifle legitimate debate.

Based on your last post, the shoe looks like it fits.

No, I didn’t bother to look at your posting history because I am not commenting on your views in general or your basic ideology.

I assume and hope that you are a real person and that your intent really is to do good.

Of course you don’t need to clear anything with anyone - that’s just a silly thing to say. (That’s the kind of arguments favored by people like Sean Hannity and my ex-wife - taking things to an illogical extreme.)

However, when you post fabrications generated out of whole cloth by known whackjobs don’t people not to react - hopefully by clarifying that it is in fact a fabrication and that the source is in fact a whackjob. (I am referring Turner, not you.)

Why wouldn’t you want to meet me in person??
I’m a great guy.
The events are used merely as an example of activism organized through FR.

Have a fine day, Sir.
