LOL!

No...but I pity any snake stupid enough to tangle with her.

I had their exercise pens in the back yard one summer day and one of my dogs saw her and shrieked “prey!” and lunged at her pen.

Psycho Bunny reared up on her hind legs, *screamed*, -charged- the dog and punched her nose repeatedly and rapidly before the dog could back away.

[that was the first and last time she ever messed with her]....:))

Bull Terriers are the best dogs in the world. (After Jack Russell Terriers, of course.)

Excerpts from a Cat's Daily Diary. ..

Day 983 of my captivity...
My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects.

They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength.
The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape.

In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet.

Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet.
I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a 'good little hunter' I am. Jerks.

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of 'allergies.' I must learn what this means and how to use it to my advantage.

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow -- but at the top of the stairs.

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released - and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded.

The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicating with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For now................

And some breeds are genetically inclined to attack/be viscous - BUT, through very careful breeding and care, those breeds CAN produce specimens that are as peaceable as any breed.

But the problem remains - the vast majority of pure-bead dogs are not the product of careful breeding - thus it can be a K9 crapshoot.

So - rolling the dice - it is the prospective pet owner’s call. Roll the dice with dice that are loaded, or at least roll the dice where the odds are in your favor?

Your choice. I am completely certain that there are pit bull terriers out there that are every bit as sweet as my Golden Retriever - but I will not trust one... nor would I trust my daughters around one. But then again - there are those who are absolutely terrified of our Golden... though he exhibits ZERO aggressive indicators. But he is a fairly large dog...

Seeing that they get plenty of water usually helps.

Pit Bull is a term commonly used to describe several breeds of dog in the Molosser family. The breeds most often placed in this category are the American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, and Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

Spuds McKenzie (actually a female dog) was a Bull Terrier:

The "Pit Bull" as is commonly known is a somewhat different dog (most commonly the Stafforshire or American Pit Bull Terrier)

and

and without ears cropped:

I’m with you. I had a Bull Terrier, and I really miss him. They’re such lovable lunkheads. Regarded as being excellent with children, though mine was rarely around any. I’ve seen butterflies with nastier dispositions. The only dangerous thing about my bully was getting in the way of that cinder block skull when he was playing.

I’m pretty sure it is a bull terrier.

Which one? The original where the kid is coloring on the dog? Yeah - that looks like a “Bull Terrier”, but does not look like a “Pit Bull Terrier” or Stafforshire Terrier”, which generally has a much more blocky/muscular head and wider jaw. Notice it has a narrower/pointier snout, and natural (and larger) prick ears (uncroped).

Agreed. Coloring Book is an English Bull Terrier, a.k.a. Bull Terrier.

From what I gather, English Bull Terrier (aka - Bull Terrier or just “Bullies”) are much more even tempered than the “other” sometimes confused breeds.

Don’t leave a small child alone with an animal with sharp teeth, period. This doggie is a happy camper, but it didn’t have to be that way. I read a story some time back about a sweetheart of a Saint Bernard that suddenly went berserk and mauled a toddler to death. When they autopsied the dog (looking for rabies, or a brain tumor, or something that would explain its behavior), they found a pen shoved down deep into its ear. Presumably the toddler had shoved the pen in there and the dog went berserk. Could happen with any breed. (Cats can also inflict bite wounds and scratches, of course, but they tend not to have the power to inflict fatalities.)

I had a friend that had a HUGE rabbit back in grade school. Three neighborhood dogs got into the backyard once and started going after the hutch but were chased away.

Several weeks later they came home to find the hutch knocked over and their pet rabbit gone. And a dead dog on the ground.
