The man who created Bozo the clown has died. Alan W. Livingston was president of Capitol Records during its heyday, signing important acts, including The Beatles, the Beach Boys and the Steve Miller Band. In the 1940s, he created Bozo the Clown as part of popular read-along albums for children. Livingston, who was also an executive at 20th Century Fox after his stint at Capitol died Friday at his Beverly Hills home at age 91 of age-related illnesses.
