The four-hour operation took place at Miami’s Metrozoo.
The giant male predator, dubbed Robo Croc after the operation left it with a significant amount of metal dotted around its face, was close to death after having its head crushed by a car in the Florida Keys last year.

Poor guy.
Bet his wife cringes when he says, “Don’t worry honey, I can fix that”
Work like that would have gotten a F in my 7th grade metal shop class.

Exactly. 18 years old, grew up around alligators, and blames “gator overpopulation” for the fact that he had a few beers and jumped in a Florida canal for a swim in the middle of the night when it’s too dark to see alligators a foot away from you.
Way back when Fort Myers was a small town and my parents lived there. Occasionally little dogs would disappear - people had respect for gators.
What happened?
