Probably because Gonzaga is a west coast team. That would be my guess.
I like Michigan State to win it all.
They met in the sweet 16 1n 1988. Hopefully Kansas will not bring their own timekeeper this time. LOL!
Duke and Carolina would meet only in the semis.
Gonzaga has an advantage of playing the tight rims at
Gonzaga has the advantage of playing UofM at the FedEx Forum, and know all about the tight rims.
GO TIGERS!
So far so good!
Duke won’t make it that far..
The only ‘upset’ would be Arizona, but they are individually very talented and their guards are very quick. Their first round win wasn't really an upset and playing a 13th seed in the second round made their trip to the Sweet 16 much easier. As for the Final Four, I think Louisville is the safest bet. The only teams that don't have a chance are Purdue, Arizona, and Duke. Purdue is not quick or deep enough; Duke is not a deep team and will get hammered inside; and Arizona isn't mentally or physically tough enough, although their guards are the quickest of the teams left.
One might be tempted to pick Gonzaga, but they have too many mental lapses at the end of games.
A word to the wise: when filling out a bracket, try not to have your own team going all the way only to lose in the 1st round. It’s the anti-Sugar Bowl feeling/sensation and quite frankly, I’m disappointed.
From your lips to God’s ear. Let’s hope Nova can keep rolling..
my bad!
I’m not so sure about Louisville after seeing how Siena played them. I think they could be vulnerable.
No one blew out their opponents like UConn did in the first two rounds. And that was with Thabeet looking like he got tranquilized in that Texas A&M game.
UConn’s half of their regional bracket is very weak, and they have had problems with very physical teams like Pitt. Memphis is also physically and mentally tough. Louisville doesn’t a team nearly s physical in their bracket, so that is why I think they have the best chance of the #1s getting to the Final Four.
North Carolina is going to have a very tough time with Gonzaga. Not saying Gonzaga is going to win, but would not be surprised if they do.
I take my hat off to the big east this year. The ACC looked good on paper. N.C. and duke could still roll but the acc can’t claim to be the numero uno conference this year.
#@@#ing cheaters.
ONE Friggin' outsider... and it's Arizona, who I was hoping would show that they didn't belong. *sigh*
(Arizona was supposedly only included to keep their 25 year tourney streak going.)
