I find it amazing that some idiot thinks a bear called Ursus Maritimus would have trouble in water.

Exactly - they are classified as a MARINE MAMMAL - same as a seal, sea lion or walrus and have been protected from hunting (unless you are an Eskimo) since the early 1970’s.

See my post 11 up there about the polar bear chasing the plane. Nearly caught it, too.

Crikey! They don't even look old enough to shave yet!
Assuming this isn't a parody, was their article first published in Highlights magazine?!

I saw that! That's one of the things people need to understand about polar bears. THEY WANT TO EAT US!!!!

Very aggressive, very hungry all the time, will chase humans in vehicles and airplanes, will eat them when they catch them. We are NOT at the top of the food chain. :D

My tagline used to say, "ALASKA: Step out of the bus, and into the food chain."

Coincidentally last week I watched a Discovery program about a hybrid bear (brown or grizzly bear and polar bear) shot and killed by a hunter. The program also had a little info about how polar bears originated. They were all brown or grizzly bears thousands of years ago but some migrated north AND ADAPTED!!! to the arctic conditions. Then obviously the bears can adapt to warmer conditions. These doomists are out of their icebergs er I mean trees.

Imagine they were quite fortunate to spot a polar
bear off in the distance, pretty good cammo they have
for that country

Read once of those tours in those Snow Cats where
they weren`t allowed out as there could be a bear
rise up out the snow

nothing like living through a near death experience

They were in the tundra, it was summer. Lot of scattered ice and some green stuff. Dad said the bear was yellow, and when it got closer, very dirty.
