On March 22, William and Cynthia Bennett left their Potomac Station home for an early morning walk and never returned. Shortly after 5:30 a.m., police found William, 57 lying dead, they found Cynthia, 55 badly beaten but still alive a short distance away.
Around 5:30 a.m., less than a mile from the Bennett home, a resident on Rocky Creek Drive called police to report the presence of a suspicious vehicle ( a white panel work van), and three men outside the van causing a disturbance.
By the time a Loudoun County Sheriffs deputy arrived, the van was gone. However, the body of William Bennett was spotted by the deputy, lying near the intersection of Rocky Creek Drive and Riverside Drive (the same reported location of the white van). More deputies arrived and found the bloodied body of Cynthia Bennett.
Both had obviously been beaten with a blunt object. Cynthia was sent by helicopter to an area hospital, where she remains in critical condition. The severity of her injuries have prevented her from speaking with police about the attack.
Loudoun County Sheriff Steve Simpson said: We have a situation here which appears to be random. Simpson went on to say that the attack may have been carried-out by gang members.
William Bennett was a retired U.S. Army Special Forces lieutenant colonel. Cynthia had also served as an Army officer. The couple have two children together.
Bennetts murder is similar in both its brutality and randomness to other confirmed Latino gang initiations around the country.
In November 2007, a Gresham, Oregon man was nearly beaten to death with a bat by Abel Antonio Chavez-Garcia, 15, in an attempt to join the notoriously violent MS-13 gang. Lee Chilcote, 71 was waiting at the train station when Garcia suddenly began hitting him.
A witness who called police told reporters: We saw that impact. And we saw him just start pouring out, right there, and he was on the ground.
Fortunately, Chilcote survived the attack but suffered some permanent difficulties with his speech.
In June 2007, a surveillance video caught the horrific image of Jason Verador, 28 walking-up behind James McKinney, 41 and striking him in the back of the head with a baseball bat. McKinney, who was mentally disabled, died a few days after the attack.
That attack gained national attention both for the sickening nature in which Verador behaved after wards, as well as the evidence it provided to this nation's growing gang violence, mainly fueled by illegal immigration.
Perhaps, nearly as disturbing as the brutal attack on William and Cynthia Bennett was the lack of information coming out of the Loudoun Sheriffs office who is handling the case.
I phoned the sheriffs office Tuesday night and asked for a description of the suspects. The officer on the other end of the line was extremely hesitant to talk about it, and said she did not know.
I told her that one article had given the description of clothing one man was wearing, but nothing else was offered. I simply wanted to know weight, height, race, etc., to place in my article She remained silent.
I then asked the anonymous woman (she refused to give me her name), if she knew about the Bennett murder, after a very long pause, she answered with a timid yes. I was then referred to their media information officer, who was not in at the time.
I do not understand how the sheriffs office, expects the good people of Loudoun County to assist them with this case, or to even protect themselves with mad dog killers on the loose, without releasing the most basic of information about the suspects.
If someone was able to describe what a suspect was wearing (gray jogging suit and a green knit cap), they were obviously able to give a physical description.
Could it be that the Loudoun County Sheriffs Office has succumbed to political correctness and does not want to cast further suspicion on the areas large illegal immigrant population?
Of course, Loudoun County, along with much of Northern Virginia, has been hard-hit by a wave of crimes generated by the Salvadoran gang known as MS-13.
Husband, father, veteran William Bennett may very well have been the latest American to lose his life because our politicians refuse to defend our border.
More detail on the Loudon County murder.
“William Bennett was a retired U.S. Army Special Forces lieutenant colonel. Cynthia had also served as an Army officer. The couple have two children together.”
I live in a Cow Town of 6,000. Two summers ago we had a gang-bang, MS-13 incident where THIRTY THREE casings were collected after all was said and done. It happened at about 3pm in the afternoon. In a residential neighborhood. While kids were walking home from school.
The ‘victim’ (a rival) was shot, but not seriously hurt. The three that did this are now in jail.
And our Town Sheriff is STILL against his citizens arming themselves. *Rolleyes*
Wonder what it’s going to take for this PC-cr@p to go away and law enforcement to be ALLOWED to take it seriously? Some politician’s kid, wife, husband, etc. killed by gang bangers?
Well, if that’s what it takes...
I read that Virginia was turning into a “blue” state. I guess it’s true.
MS-13 is also famous for hacking their targets apart with machetes. Family values don’t stop at the Rio Grande, you know.
“a Gresham, Oregon man was nearly beaten to death with a bat by Abel Antonio Chavez-Garcia, 15, in an attempt to join the notoriously violent MS-13 gang”
MS-13 is a violent gang of illegal immigrants that has grown rapidly in the last few years. Thank our politically correct, liberal politicians who have made it almost impossible to arrest and prosecute these people.
Learn to shoot, learn to survive!
The cops can’t protect you and are afraid to tell you who the criminals are!
Just because you’ve defended yourself and your family doesn’t mean you have to call it in!
Thank you Dave Gibson, for editing out your previous grammatical gaffe, in referencing an office as a "who."
That aside, pushing "randomness" in the absence of any evidence to support that, is bothersome. It's not illogical to investigate the possibility that the murder of a high profile person is perhaps a deliberate targeting of that person.
It shouldn’t be a crime for any citizen to shoot MS13, and perhaps other violent gang members on site. IMO, these violent street gangs are no different than terrorist organizations. They are a cancer to our country.
What I find interesting, and you will never hear a politician/media/public official say this, is how all of these gangs across the country have their roots in foreign countries. It’s past the time we got serious about illegal immigration. Sure getting serious about it now would help, but I’m afraid it’s too late. The damage has been done, given those that are already here....
watched a ‘gangland’ episode the other morning on these savages. worst of the worst and they just continue to spread like rats in a sewer. MS-13 needs to be exterminated.
With a couple exceptions in some small towns, the politically correctr police and politicians in the National Capital area have covered up illegal alien crime.
The sheriffs of Loudon County and police chiefs of Fairfax County, Arlington County, and Alexandria (VA) and Montgomery County (MD)have always covered up the tie in of major crime with illegal aliens that are overwhelming the area. The police chief of Fairfax County was called on the carpet at a state crime commission hearing in 2007 for not recording data for illegal aliens incarcerated for major crimes.
The true impact of illegal alien crime is going to be covered up until they can ram amnesty through the Congress and get those illegals on the Democrat voters lists.
And the RINO Republicans will support it because their Chamber of Commerce buddies want that cheap labor.
MS 13 is huge there. I know. I have a friend down there right now on a job. Just more open borders nonsense.
They dont call it “selling out our country” for nothing. Literally selling it out.
I live near DC and I have a friend who works much closer to the DC line than she lives and she is fond of telling me how “gentrified” the area around her office has become, “good people” she calls them. I still haven’t told her about the MS-13 graffiti I saw on the utility boxes at the end of her street.
These are the people who are going to be in that “all volunteer” force thats coming. Its very sad.
Anybody have the Terry Anderson Show ping list?
Bodies are piling up on both sides of the Potomac now.
I don’t see anything to indicate that this William Bennett was a high-profile person. He was simply a retired military officer, not the political celebrity of the same name.
That’s a shame. I grew up in Arlington County when it was still populated with old stock Americans.
CIA security specialist, no mention of any contracting he may have had ongoing. He was 57, not likely to be “retired,” pension or no.
The article only mentions that he was retired from the Army. Not uncommon at age 57 unless you have a star.
He left CIA in 2000. Security specialist.
Since January,2008 more than 1,300 people have been killed in execution-style hits or gunned down in fire fights, which often rage for hours in broad daylight and turn residential neighbourhoods into war zones. If the trend continues, 2008 will top last year's toll of 2,500 deaths in drug-related killings. You don't hear so much about Americans at the Border. Too bad.
More Americans killed by illegal aliens than Iraq war, study says The liberal LA Times is now reporting that Mexico's drug wars are now north of the borders--but soto voce. Think about it. A man or woman killed in Iraq or Iran in the line of duty is a hero. But what is an American killed at home by an illegal alien because the government has failed in its sworn duty to guard the borders. This is a pact between the sovereign and the person has paid taxes and loyalty. The answer is to that question is pretty awful. And it bodes ill for the republic.
But is it true?
Yes, according Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa.When you start digging into the numbers the only ones that can be sourced with the feds are the number of American murdered in 2005: 16692
I have seen federal numbers for illegals held in jail ranging from 19.3% to 27% of the federal prison population.
Here's a sampling of USA cities wanted for murder. What you'll see is that in big USA cities like LA or NYC most of the murderers are Hispanic. Unknown are the % of illegals. In smaller cities the FBI will post the nationalities of the murderers. About 25% of the most wanted are illegals wanted for murder. This number agrees with the percentage of illegals incarcerated in federal prisons. +-25%
Pictures of top 10 most wanted in LA. Up until recent stories about crime in LA posted by the LA Times--the pictures included the nationality of the murderers. They were all foreign nationals and mostly Mexican.
Wanted for Murder in New York City.
Chicago wanted for Murder
Philadelphia wanted for murder
San Francisco wanted for Murder
New Orleans wanted for Murder
Pictures of suspects wanted for murder in Washington DC Alas, the Washington DC pictures have recently been taken down.
FBI USA 10 most wanted. (two of 10 are Mexican nationals) Around 40% of the FBI's wanted for murder are Mexican Nationals
There are currently no exact numbers on the number of Americans killed by illegals. Part of the reason is that the government deliberately obscures the number. I talked on the phone with the head of statistics for the US Bureau of Prisons. He said his office wasn't allowed to publish the number of illegal alien murderers. Rather they were forced to put legal and non legal residents in the same category. He said further that most of illegals in the federal prisons were in for drug related charges. Most of the illegals in jail for murder were in the state prisons. I talked to ICE. They put out detailed numbers on illegal child molestors. However, they put out nothing on illegal murderers.
Part of the reason for the silence on the matter is that there is evidence to suggest that most Americans--but by no means all -- being killed by illegals are black--as is the suggestion in this LA Times Article. Also this article from the LA Times. And here. This makes intuitive sense. We see stories regularly of drug gang killings in Mexico but we don't see those same stories in the USA. The reason we don't see those stories is not because its not happening. Rather we don't see the stories about illegals killing blacks because that kind of story is terribly politically incorrect. The populations being displaced in downtown sanctuary cities especially are American blacks. That means that their criminal elements would be pushed aside by Mexican gangs as well. That's also the story that the wanted for murder posters in all the major cities seems to suggest.
Why isn't there an outcry in the black community? Beats me.
Nevertheless, the pattern of non reporting is starting to break. Discovery Channel has a series called Gangland that mentions ethnic cleasing of blacks by Mexican gangs. One woman in San Francisco who had her family killed by an illegal is even demanding the city to drop its sanctuary city status. Illegals themselves have become the targets of kidnappers Mexican style in Arizona where drug money from south of the border is often parked.
Reported Foreign Nationals on Death Row in the U.S.
To look at other USA cities go here http://stlouis.fbi.gov/ and replace stlouis with the city you want.
That said, the true number of criminal aliens is far higher than is revealed by criminal aliens in prisons. Most are simply waived through the courts. DHS Secretary Chertoff, has been quoted as warning that two million people in this country illegally have committed serious crimes. Here is more info from Judicial Watch.
However the number of illegals on death row is far lower. Sadly, so many small towns and villages across America have sent their warriors off to war half way across the world only to see communities fill up with illegal aliens. The Center For Immigration Studies has provided a detailed account of the illegal alien gang problem
