Do they get a last meal? And if so, what about the poor dead flies they're feasting on?
Depending on which part contains the poison, I wonder why don't they cook up some fried toad legs?
The toxin issecreted from the large glands on the top of the toad’s head (parotid glands).
As for whether the legs are safe to eat, try the Florida Keys test for Ciguatera infected fish. They feed a piece of the barracuda in question to one of the swarms of dock cats, then let kitty sleep in a closed place until morning.
If the cat is alive in the morning, that ‘cuda is safe to eat.
I suggest the Aussies do a similar test using one of the all too numerous Muslims that are attempting to impose sharia law on Australia.
If my idea works, the Aussies will have a new source of food, and (assuming frogs can get Ciguatera, ;-) ), they will eventually have fewer Muslims.
