Emptying the trash

Can anyone tell me how to delete pings? I know that you can delete "New Pings" simply by clicking on "Mark All As Read". The thing I want to know is how to delete all the other pings under the tab "All Pings". Thanks in advance for any advice.

Here's how:

1) Light a fire with witch-hazel kindling
2) Brew sassafras and dandelion tea over the fire
