Except this isn’t worshiping the sun, this is a tradition thanking God for His creation, the sun is simply a time keeper in a sense, for this day of remembrance, not much different than a calendar showing Christmas every year.

That's the same rationale they used during Ezekiels time. This is nothing more than Babylonian Talmudic idolatry
