Ideas for Tea Party Signs? (Denver)
MtnClimber | 4-9-2009 | MtnClimber

Wondering if others have good ideas for Tea Party signs? I am planning on attending the Denver event and will try to take photos. I was thinking about a protest sign and an "ACORN Nut --->" sign. What are other Tea Party attendees taking?

I am thinking of making double sided signs. Doing in Powerpoint with 96 font. A couple of words per page and then attach to cardboard with glue stick. I will make one sign for me and one for my wife. Here is what I am thinking so far:

Front: Your Pork Broke my Piggy Bank
Back: Keep Your Bailout; I’ll Keep my Freedom

Front: I would rather live under a bridge than linv under socialism
Back: Chains you can believe in

“NO BIRTH CERTIFICATE NO PEACE!”

I like that one.....Will use it at the Portland Tea party— with FUBO on the otherside.

There are soooo many good ideas for sayings. Hard to pick just one or two.

I’m trying to figure out the best way to actually “build” the sign to carry. Is poster board good, or too flimsy? Foam core? What’s the best kind of stick to use to carry it?

When I protested Teddy Kennedy speaking at the Reagan Library, I printed letters on 8.5x11 paper, one letter per sheet, in about a 700 font. Then I taped them to my accordian-fold cardboard sewing cutting board. It was too big and bulky to carry, but was easy to hold stable sitting on the sidewalk, and was extremely easy to read. (Nancy Reagan took a long, not-thrilled look at it when her car drove by.)

The photos I saw from the previous Denver Tea Party showed people just holding the signs. I did not see signs on sticks. Not sure if the sticks would be considered potential weapons. I am planning on using corrugated cardboard, but not too large.

I bought poster board and wooden yard sticks. I figured I use two pieces of poster board with the yard stick between them. That’ll give a a double sided sign. I have some pipe insulation that I’m going to use to make a grip that is comfortable to hold for a few hours and it’ll be nice and light.

Here’s two:

Have you peeled off your Obama sticker yet?

Pull into your garage, peel off your Obama sticker, and nobody will ever know!

If our own whore media will not cover the tea parties, invite the foreign press, Canada free press, local ethinic news papers, post them all on utube and mass email them to all on your lists.

FReeper bergmeid has an extensive list of foreign news e-mail addresses. We will both be sending photos, but we are both attending the same event in Denver. If people are attending other events, please e-mail him (or me) for e-mail addresses. Also don’t forget your local newspapers and FOX News.

Very good! I would add: Especially since we have a president who thinks he is Messiah!
