[Note: Because of Passover, I did not see "17 Again" and "Sin Nombre," but will try to post reviews of those and another film I did see, "Mysteries of Pittsburgh," later today.]
"Congressman Ben Affleck." It's enough to make you sick. It's also hard to see pictures of Affleck in military fatigues and talk of his military service in the First Gulf War. As if.

She’s right on the mark but after a couple paragraphs it was just blah blah blah, its a Ben movie what else would it be? They are all bad.
As off the wall as it sounds, the 'rats were actually pushing the idea for real in '06
If we now have Senator Franken, I believe ANYTHING is possible. Can you imagine Ben Affleck or his retarded lover, Matt Damon in the congress? Oy vey!
I’ll be getting out my copy of “Enemy of the State” and watching it again, instead of this drivel.
Any time that is brought up remind people of this:
A few months after being praised for his political savvy for an interview in GQ (which was the start of the “Affleck for Senate” hype) where he elaborated on his political philogophy, Ben was unable to vote for the Presidential candidate of his choice.
He was unaware that a voter registered in California could not just go to any polling place in New York City and vote for President.
We have GO TO STOP Elections these brainless idiot who fervently believe that government handouts make the country better. People like Ben Affleck who never had a real job should be no where near a government office (ever).
But you can picture him running and winning and promising more programs for the poor people.
When 51% of the people have voted themselves the money of the remaining 49% then we are lost for good
I love Jennifer Garner but she had a major brain cramp when she married this guy.
she’s a fruitcake too and her daughter looks like a hobgoblin.
Debbie jumped the shark when she started attacking Palin in worst liberal smearmonger fashion.
what did she say?
For what it’s worth they take their daughter to a presbyterian church school (I saw it on youtube).
I just got back from seeing the film and enjoyed it. Am a fan of Helen Mirren and Russell Crowe. Remake of the 2003 BBC miniseries State of Play. Energy was the culprit before, now a security outfit called Pointcorp. If you compare it to Blackwater, then that becomes purely subjective considering there are many security outfits for hire.
We can think the best of everyone in charge of state when our Party is in power, but you are naive to think everything is always as it appears. Individuals on both sides are making money off " a crisis too good to waste ". Corruption will always be in the mix when big money is at stake.
Actually this time the reporter Crowe acted as a true journalist. He was objective with close friends in the mix.
No different then watching the hit Fox series-24.
Schlussel just a blogger who "hunts for things" that fall into her biased analogy.. instead of just enjoying the movie..
It's not News laced with propaganda rolling out of Fox:(do not know why that subject of Fox and tv news is even attached) it's just a movie! With some good acting! Good twists and turns. Good guys win, killers lose. A very good cast attached.
If you are a avid movie goer and like mystery & crime thrillers, then you should enjoy the film State of Play.
Below a few gems of Schlussel’s hateful vitriol against the Palin family, calling them pretentious, stupid, white trash:

As far as I am concerned Debbie Schlussel can go to... well I’ll leave it at that.
Why would a box need an office? And why on the weekend?
Why do you pay them for the rope, and shovels?
Jennifer has also confessed she cries more now she is a mother.
The actress believes the experience has made her more caring.
She said: “Since I became a mother, I cry more because I care about things more.
“I can’t watch a movie where something happens to a child. And I’ve always cared about global warming and breast cancer, but now there seems to be an urgency about them.”

My husband and I saw it last night, and even though I didn’t think it was a really good movie, we enjoyed it.
