A lefty like Barry’s opposition to same sex marriage demonstrates two important points:
1) Opposition to same sex marriage is certainly not an out of the mainstream view, the way the media would like to potray it.
2) If the GOP wants to expand its base and win elections, the worst thing to do would be abandoning its pro-life and anti-same sex marriage positions. A majority of black and hispanic voters share Barry’s opposition to same sex marriage.
I have spoken with pro-life, Christian, blacks who want more opportunity for their own children and want out of the public school system; they won't quit the Dems.
Don't break a synapse trying to figure it.
