Sarah Palin was arguably the most influential person in 2008, but no one notices because she wasn't influential enough to overcome the deficits of her running mate and win the election. Until Palin, 45, burst onto the scene, Obama was headed for a Nixon/McGovern landslide. Palin may not have changed the election result, but she killed what otherwise would have been a rout.

I just flipped through some of the TIME 100 write-ups. It’s disappointing that they put Sarah in the “Heroes and Icons” category as opposed to the “Leaders & Revolutionaries” category. But then... it is TIME.
It is interesting to note who is writing some of the little missives:
Ted Kennedy by Arnold Schwarzenegger
T.Boone Pickens by Ted Turner
Ted Turner by T.Boone Pickens
Bernie Madoff by Michael Moore
Tina Fey by Alec Baldwin
Michelle Obama By Oprah Winfrey

I didn't realize that Coulter was a Palin admirer. Didn't she support Romney?

Coulter’s support of Romney was due to a crappy field of viable candidates.

As I recall, and correct me if I'm wrong, she had nothing good to say about Fred Thompson. Although I often agree with Ann, in her support for Romney I was disappointed.

she is still bitter at Fred for the NO vote on removing Clinton, and his YES vote on McCain-Feingold.

"Palin may not have changed the election result, but she killed what otherwise would have been a rout." When she entered, I said,"Obama win? When Pigs can fly." One Hundred days in office and Swine Flu!
