I don’t see a need for this. I say we fix things here on Earth. I hope they cut more. It is ridiculous to build a Base Station on the Moon. We are currently building bases in Iraq and Afganistan. I think that should be our priority. Let the other countries take the lead on this and more importantly SPEND THEIR OWN MONEY ON THIS. You think maybe they will all move up there and leave us alone.

What stupid reasoning. Would you propose 500 years ago we stay in Europe rather than travel to the Americas because we haven’t fixed things up yet?

Humanity is about progression. You will NEVER fix things permanantly. Stupid, mindless utopianism, no better than the liberal democrats.

That's sort of like the reasoning (most) Muslims have:

"Islam is the perfect religion. Of course Muslims suffer the most, but that's because they are not following it strictly enough..."

There will never be an end to this futile hope for the perfection of the present.
