I suggest that he would be worse off. Institutional schools have many of the aspects of prison culture. The kids “imprisoned” in that environment detect emotional insecurity like sharks smell blood in the water.
Also....By having an emotionally ill child in an institutional school, what about the kids who are emotionally well-centered and eager to learn? Are they better off by having a kid who might pull another “Columbine” ( as you suggested he might) or worse off? The parents of the dead Columbine kids would have more than happy if the two Columbine killers had be kept at home.
If the two Columbine killers had been homeschooled maybe they would have just be friendless weirdos rather than assassins. The former is far better than the latter.
my point is that it is up to the child.
This child next door to me is completely gone, he has no clue how to interact and every neighbour round here now does not want him near them as they do not trust what this kid will do.
That includes every child around here too.
The kid has said he is lonely and has no one o be with, now that is the fault of the father a liberal father I might add.
He used to go to my kids school years ago bug denied it until a neighbor saw his face on a year book and then the kids found out he was thrown out of school as he needed more help than they could give him, hitting teachers, kids etc
Instead of getting that help this kid now stays at home in his supposed homeschooling.
His father is at work all day and leaves him and when once I had the kid at my door telling me he was about to run away I told his dad who in turn muttered chance would be a fine thing
I have met some good kids who go to school, public and private and I have met some good kids who stay at home.
This kid IMHO needs to be around others and learn to communicate as of right now he is a threat to himself and others.
