Another cat has been found dead, its body mutilated, in the south Miami-Dade community of Palmetto Bay.
The Palmetto Bay woman who found the cat did not wish to be identified in the media. She said the cat, which belonged to one of her neighbors, it had been shot and skinned from the waist down.
Miami-Dade police are investigating the cat's death to see if it is connected to nearly two dozen other cat deaths in the area in the last several weeks.
Palmetto Bay Mayor Eugene Flinn advised all residents to keep their cats inside their homes until the person, or persons, responsible for these grisly deaths is caught.
CBS4 News has learned that six cats have been mutilated and killed in the Village of Palmetto Bay. In nearby Cutler Bay thirteen cats have suffered similar fates.
Homeowners have been told by authorities that they now are mostly looking for an adult who drives a car instead of a teenager or teenagers who are on foot. The cats are being struck by an unknown object and then mutilated. The perpetrator or perpetrators then place the cats' bodies in plain sight for their families to find. Their bodies have been found near their homes, on sidewalks, front yards and doorsteps.
The Humane Society of the United States has offered a $2,500 reward to the person who provides information that leads to the identification, arrest and conviction of the person responsible.

I have a strong dislike for cats who’s owners let them roam, but this is just sick and wrong.
That sort of behavior doesn’t age well. Need to find this guy quick before he changes targets.

Sick bastard. They better find this person for the sake of the cats and for the sake of the people in the neighborhood. It’s been found that murderers/serial killers of people often start off by torturing and killing animals.

Miami-Dade? Then have to suspect some sort of voodoo or santeria animal-sacrifice ritual.
But not that there’s anything wrong with that! (obligatory pro-multicultural, pro-diversity, and pro-Third-Worldization of our culture remark in case the federal governmment is reading this post).

Poor little kitties. This was the twentieth such mutiliated cat in the area.
