Here in Illinois it’s coyote season pretty much all year round. I hate those things. They are vicious little bastards. I have shot a few in my lifetime.

I know a guy here in the Pittsburgh area who shot a coyote with his 40 caliber Glock. He had it stuffed too.

You live near my parents! They live on Seneca Lake, Sanford State park is their back yard. It's such a treat to drive by the depot to try and spot the white deer, isn't it?

Bringing the family up to see them in July, can't wait. It's *beautiful* country up there. Wish it wasn't so liberal, I'd really love to move back someday.

I encountered a coyote in suburban Atlanta (Vinings, to be specific) a couple of years ago. There’s really no woods to speak of here either.

There's more woods there than you think. There's a greenspace corridor on the hooch from the national park there in metro atl all the way to West point.

My former job was on the hooch near Six flags, and the woods there were loaded in deer, coyotes, and hogs.

so long as you stay away from Ithaca AKA The City of Evil, you’ll still have a good time.

Seneca should be warm enough by July.

talk to your parents as i believe there are sight seeing tours on the depot now and they might know more about it.

Tee hee, I was born in Ithaca....We went there two years ago and I was less than impressed. What a shabby place.

I think they took one of those tours a few years ago. Maybe my husband and I can take one this year. :)

Ah, New York, so beautiful, so sad...

We live off of Riverside Drive, and spotted a dead coyote on the side of the road just the other day!

They're all over the place there in metro atl, getting fat on the babies of all those unhunted deer, and peoples pets.

Oh, and don't look now, but there was a cougar killed just downriver from you at west point not too long ago.

The coyotes must have walked down from way north somewhere, and then scrambled out at one of the exit ramps.

The coyotes indeed use the flood control to facilitate their hunting, they’ve been coming through Seal Beach/Rossmoor and East Long Beach for some time now. They may have continued North from there.
