Lee Ann is the BEST. I grew up in Texas and George is the man. I just whined to my husband for five minutes about how I missed it. I hope it will come on CMT like the other awards shows do a month or so later. Thanks for the tip though, I was wondering when it came on. I should have googled it huh? ha ha

Nice honor I suppose.
I don’t particularly care for him.

Best country singer of all time, in my humble opinion. Nobody's got a classic "country" voice like that, and so many of his songs really touch a chord with me.
"Amarillo By Morning" is just about the finest piece of music I've ever heard.

I rememember that story that's how he started to get recognition. He came to my small town when I was young and I couldn't go because I was sick, but I made up for that. I've seen him more times than I can count. It is weird for Taylor to be singing his songs, but her family must have raised her on the good music.

He sure has a great reputation here in San Antonio and Seguin. Pillar of the community and a genuine nice guy.

Strait's one of a few current C&W singers worth listening to.
I also enjoy Asleep At the Wheel, Sugarland, Lacy J. Dalton, Kelly Willis, Charly McClain and of course, Bob Wills. But Strait, he's the best of all time, no one else comes close.
