A tiny baby stoat was given mouth-to-mouth and a heart massage by a member of the public after a passer-by discovered it drowning in a water butt, it has emerged.
The lifeless baby stoat, the size of a human thumb, was found in the trough next to its sibling in wasteland near Marham, Norfolk.
The pair, since named Blears and Brown after the beleaguered Prime Minister and his former Communities Secretary, were found by an unnamed employee at Anglian Water on May 29.'

Hey Diddle Diddle (Origin of the Spork)
By Goose and Duck
Hey diddle diddle,
The cat and the fiddle,
The cow jumped over the moon.
The little dog laughed to see such fun,
And the dish ran away with the spoon.
Bye diddle diddle,
This caused such a riddle,
For the spoon was betrothed to the fork,
But the fork got his wish, the spoon left the dish,
And the two soon had a baby spork.
And they lived happily ever after...
Is this another Richard Gere story?
Someone gave a weasel mouth-to-mouth?
Who cares if the stupid thing drowns, you’re going to risk rabies, SARS or any number of diseases that can cross the species barrier?
SARS jumped from Civet Cats to humans, Ebola from bats to monkies to humans, other diseases...
What the hell is wrong with some people?
Dat’s a seriously CUTE little guy.
Our ferret fred looked just like that when we got him.... fit in my shirt pocket.
...it is cute.
A stoat is a creature similar to the weasel but bigger.
A water butt here in Britain is a kind of water tank.
p.s we dont say ‘butt’ here. Bum is the word used here for our rear fleshy feature. Also arse, backside, derriere, rear-end or buttocks...
Whoa there, pardner! The little bugger is cute, and some people love to save little cute things. We still have some liberties available to us.
OK, now the story makes sense. The Stoat is what gay Brits use like a giant Gerbil. That explains how it got in the butt.
What a delightful story! Thank you so much for the ping :-)
They may be relations of my Uncle Ermie, who are always getting into trouble....hard to tell from the photo though.
A butt is a half open barrel. In the US they are usually called rain barrels or cisterns.
File this under “cute” and “precious”. : )
A friend of ours resusitated a yorkie puppy in a similar manner. It was dropped and had the breath knocked out of it.
