I downloaded Chrome a couple months ago and never went back (to Fox or IE) ...

Anything but Chrome!
“I downloaded Chrome a couple months ago and never went back (to Fox or IE) ...”
Same here. I tried Safari for about 2 minutes yesterday and deleted it. Flashy maybe, but doesn’t get the job done as well as Chrome.
On a related note, I have done the same with search by going with Bing from Ask.com.
I want NOTHING to do with Google. I’ll stick to Firefox.
I downloaded an early version of Chrome to check it out. I have NEVER had a piece of software which crashed so frequently and consistently.
Would never trust it again (and this is coming from a person who likes Google products).
Mozilla Firefox 3Firefox is open source and yet one of the most stable browsers currently available. The latest version, Firefox 3 performs admirably and offers a familiar browsing experience. Its ability to handle more than thirty simultaneous tabs of complex websites without any problem is testament to its stability.
Its only weakness is that the more extensions that are added to it to customize and increase its feature set, the more memory it consumes and the more frequently it wants to download and install updates, which can become annoying after a while.
Hell, I can have 30+ tabs open in a single window, and still have several other windows open with a large number of tabs open in each, with no problem.
And the only extension I use is NoScript.
I like to open lots of windows and tabs and I like the feature of Firefox that saves them all if you want to shut it down. I’m not sure that is available on these other browsers. I haven’t seen it with Safari.
Bookmark management could be better on all browsers. You should be able to quickly port bookmarks between browsers.

Agreed. That company gives me the creeps. Their stuff is insidiously metastasizing into a lot of aspects of our lives. I don’t like them. If someone else wants to use them, that is their choice and I respect that.
I like Google products; just not Chrome.
Thanks for sharing that. Technology aside, I have problems with Google’s ethics. This is one reason why I use Scroogle for searching.

;-)
I wouldn’t trust Google Chrome. Google wants control over all of your personal information and data. Who knows how much of your private information Chrome is “phoning home” to Google HQ?
I have used firefox for years.
Recently had problems with crashes of verison 3.0 (.something)
When I installed version 3.5 beta found it much more stable.
I never never use IE, and really dislike Widows in general, although I use it every day at work.
Some widows are really cool. Maybe you need to meet some more of them.
Safari 4 blazes on OS X or windows.
LOL. SOunds like you would know...
I have used them all from version 3.1 to XP. Have not used Vista or the new beta.
I built my first PC in 1983 and have been at this a while.
I prefer Linux to Windows for my personal machines.
My work machine is XP. There are some apps that I cannot find an equivalent in the Linux environment or I would not use Windows at all.
Have used Linux for 10 years. My first version was a flavor of Slackware and my first GUI version was Redhat 5.5.
I hate bloated software. My day is spent in a spreadsheet, database, and publishing programs.
I am not anti-Windows, just do not like some of the motives of MicroSoft, and do not trust them on security.
Firefox 3.5 nightly builds
