The misunderstood bully (no, it's not about Obama, the Fabian socialist).

Stereotypes are usually negative and should be avoided. That’s what we teach our children. Yet, some adults are still incapable of understanding that discriminating against a dog, based solely on his breed is wrong. You cannot judge an entire breed of dog on a few individuals. Pit bulls are misunderstood and used as a scapegoat when dog owners are negligent. You could eliminate pit bulls from the planet, and dog bites would still occur. Another breed would then be persecuted.

The first point to make is that ‘pit bull’ is not a breed. Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier, and American Staffordshire Terrier are all breeds that people tend to think of when using the term pit bull. However, it is incredibly hard to identify a pit bull. A boxer mix could easily be mistaken for a pit bull, and while the boxer is a much-loved breed, looking like a pit bull could doom a dog. The dog may now be considered “dangerous” and could be subject to Breed Specific Legislation (BSL). BSL is any law or policy that affects named breeds, but no others. Insurance companies, landlords, apartment complexes, neighborhoods, counties, and cities have enacted BSL. Creating a law against a breed of dog that most people misidentify is unjust.

“Another breed would then be persecuted”

I’m really not worried about being attacked by a toy poodle or Yorkie.

Some breeds have the means to be dangerous.

Bottom line.

Say what you want but the facts are loud and clear. Pitts make up less than 9% of the total dog population in this country but account for nearly half of the fatal dog attacks each and every year.
They make up more than half of serous dog on people attacks each year.
How do you make these provable facts support your propaganda?????

I have never met a pit-bull that was less than visciously threatening when his owner was not around. Owners that leave them in the back of their pickups or tied to a bike-rack in a shopping area should be deprived of the right to own the breed.

They are not fit to be brought in public.
