I’m sorry to hear about this, prayers up for a speedy recovery for Mrs. Don-O.

UPDATE:
Mrs Don-o had the surgery on the left elbow this afternoon. It was about three and a half hours. The surgeon called me (I had gone to work to take care of some things) at around 5:30. Said it was a pretty nasty break and took a lot of doing to piece it back together. He said that they will not put it in a cast and she will be using the elbow as it heals.
Good news is that her right broken arm is relatively functional. Good motion with that elbow, shoulder and fingers.
That’s about what I know now. Again, I thank you all very much.

Thanks for the update don-o and positive news. Tell the Mrs that there are a lot of prayers in her direction and hope she is able to recover as soon as possible.

Prayers for Mrs Don-o and her doctors, as well you and your family.
My personal experience is that after about three days, you begin to feel much better. That sounds like quite an accident, from your description.
Praying that she is mending quickly, and for her to be feeling herself again!

Mrs. Don-o, what happened to you?!? After all you did re Notre Dame!
After St. Teresa of Avila had a slip from a carriage into some mud, she quipped to God, “If this is how You treat Your friends, then it is no wonder You have so few of them.” If you’ve said anything like that in this situation, then you’re in good company! :-)

Monday update
She had a rough night because the pain med was suppressing her oxygen absorption, so the night was spent in some degree of pain until they got that all squared away, which they have now done. She is comfortable, as long as that left arm remains still.
We have yet to hear what the expectation is for any discharge, We are certainly not about to rush things. She has not yet gotten out of the bed. We get to practice patience and strive for serenity. It’s especially tough, because Ben departs back for Cali on Thursday.
My sis and my mama also visited tonight and brought beautiful flowers from the garden. I took her some grapes and a bean salad that I had made.
I actually believe I have heard her repeat that quote. I’ll remind her next time I see her.
Tuesday 0600 update
She called and reported that she had a good sleep.
She fed herself a cup of yogurt and the rest of the grapes. She got up out of bed and walked around in the room a little bit. All trending in good direction.
Prayer up!! Heal fast!
But she must thank God and consider herself very lucky no legs or hips were broken. That really means you are immobilized. An elbow injury can be nasty and physical therapy from good people is needed to make sure she regains 100% use of elbow joints
Get out and take a walk each day while sidelined
