A long time ago, when America was a much saner, common-sense place, this breed would have simply vanished without even making the front page of the newspapers.

Even suggesting such a thing today is considered some sort of hate crime.

Poor pit bulls. There’s so much discrimination against them. They’re just mis-understood, you know? Someone ought to write some legislation to protect them.

I have had mutts, a Sheltie, and a Maltese. No problems. The Sheltie was a little high strung though. It always tried to herd up the neighborhood kids.

They are banned in Miami. I believe first they required a large insurance policy to own one, then a couple of years later they were banned.
