Well, I guess it's about where you want the average scores to be. It's about how little they hit that ball. How very, very little. Excessive noise breaks concentration, leading to more whacks. If no one minds average scores hitting 200, you can treat it like a baseball game, WTH. But usually, people want to see how low the score can actually get, under ideal conditions.
