SPAIN..the leading # 1 team in the world, 35 game winning streak, they have shut out opponents in the series...and the soccer world already conceded that SPAIN is SUPPOSED TO WIN..YET HERRE THEY ARE SHOCKING THE FN SOCCER WORLD.

Not really a fan, but I have to cheer the achievement!
My son got injured more in soccer than he did in football. He always called football players wimps, because they had to wear helmets. He liked soccer more because it was more active.

Here’s this sport that many Americans not only don’t seem to have any use for, but have an active dislike, and for the rest of the world it’s life-or-death, and, and ... you know this may be why in that movie `Hostel’ those twisted bass-turds paid a premium for American kids ....

He did play football and soccer through out school. He even played basketball for many years, but when he got into high school he dedided all three was too much. He’s always been a good athlete no matter what he did.

Brasil is always the team to beat. Spain, well they often have grand illusions, lots of talented players, but just seem to lose their composure in tournaments.
Obviously not in Euro 08, but pretty often.
I do hope we get out of groups in WC2010. Never easy, but maybe with this core crew.
I think the active dislike comes from the past thirty or more years of being told that soccer is the world sport and we must fall in line. It's like the metric system in that way. No one has an active dislike for team handball because we haven't been told "YOU MUST LOVE HANDBALL. IT IS THE BEST SPORT IN THE WORLD AND IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN LIFE ITSELF. LOVE HANDBALL!!!!" (yes, the shouting is a parody of soccer fanatics)
