Yep... almost a billion a year - how crazy is that? Hey, if Fox is willing to pay him the money for the show that he and Fuller brought to America - then yeah, good for him.

Personally, I wouldn’t pay him that much. Perhaps that’s why I’m not a TV exec... I’m just too simple, I guess.

What really tweaks me about it, is that 60% of it would go to zero’s leviathan.

Personally I TIVO the show, fast forward through all the commercials (except those cute Progressive.com ads and the Geico gecko) and then fast forward through 90% of the performances listening only to my favs and Simon's comments about them. Takes about 10 minutes per show.

And that's still 8 minutes of commercials... LOL!

Sure you could find lots of people WILLING, but would they be any good at it. There’s a pretty delicate balance in being the lovable @$$#0!3 like Simon, he’s a major part of the draw of the show. He’s been talking about leaving for a long time and they just keep backing up the truckloads of cash. Fox seems to comprehend what side that bread is buttered on.
