hmmm, yes, I’m sure Ted or Caroline Kennedy would extend an invitation to spend time with them at Cape Cod to a Caucasian who grew up in East Harlem and whose father worked in a factory. Nope, no class distinction or bias toward Caucasians by other Caucasians.
Oh, but the old-money, upper crust Irish-Americans DO look down on the Kennedy’s as trash. There was a story decades ago that JFK had been engaged to one of that caste. After being elected POTUS, he was in an elevator with the former fiancee’s mother and mentioned ‘I almost married your daughter’ to which she sniffed ‘and I am so glad you didn’t.’
