That has been bugging me about “giving back” investors “their principal”.
If anything is left in Madoffs Estate/business, investors should get principal - interest.
My 401k slid 75% last year.

I’m wondering why some of the investors didn’t wonder why other investment firms weren’t giving these year-after-year 10-12 % returns? Didn’t any of them suspect something?
I feel for them, but they invested in a non-secure, non FDIC investment. Hence, the huge “interest” rates they were receiving.
