But the ladies are less in agreement over what makes for a hot guyI think this is very true... Men are visual while the females are more about how the guy makes them feel... this explains why a bald, skinny guy like me can get girlfriends...

I do not know why these researchers turned to 1300
heterosexual men to determine what women are hot, they don't do that at beauty pageants.

I disagree. If the one on the left is a leftist/liberal and the ones on the right are conservative, the ones on the right are far hotter than the one on the left.

But it also means more competition for the hottest chicks, scientists say.Well sure, but if some young fellow lets his eye fall fondly on a lass who is a little odd or homely ( as he thinks, ) and so calculates that his attentions will be long missed and therefore welcome, he's more than likely to find that he is but one new member of a club ... and science be damned.

An important point is that heterosexual men and women have different prerogatives of attraction. All varieties of males, not just human males, are generally attracted to the look of “fertility” in females. However, culture determines what they believe “fertility” looks like.
Females, however, have a double prerogative of the type of male they want as a sperm donor, and a male “provider” to help raise her offspring. But this is conflicted. First of all, it is unlikely that when there are many males around, the same one is best for both purposes. So she has to compromise, or cheat.
But from this biological starting ground, it gets a lot more complicated for both men and women.

Back during the Clinton administration, there were articles here on Free Republic from the mainstream media about women fantasizing over him and swooning over him so I asked my wife, in case I was missing something, if she found Bill Clinton attractive. The look of disgust that she instantly gave me was priceless.

Earlier tonight there was a total hottie helping me at the hardware store... obviously I was vibing strong because he pulled up a “girlfriend” reference (Doh!).
Aside from obvious visual hotness, though, is what the guy is about. I saw a Jeff Beck video last night that reminded me there can be amazing talent & beauty hiding out under a tore-up looking cover (I didn’t know what he looked like before). I’m definitely on the lookout, but it’s a major challenge in here in Northern California.

Thin isn’t so important in men ... but “muscularity” is, I think. I can’t stand squishy men! LOL! Especially if the handshake is limp. Yuck. Makes you wonder what else is limp.... :)
