Good luck finding a traditionsl priest in Connecticut who would be brave enough to do this!
Traditional...
Did anoyne mention "traditional"?
I know a few in Ridgefield.
All three dioceses (Hartford, Bridgeport and Norwich) had Tridentine Masses (at Stamford, Bridgeport, New Haven, Hartford and he Norwich area) authorized by their respective bishops when we left about nine years ago. Connecticut is a relatively small state. I would be very surprised if one of the Tridentine priests would not be willing to show up. It would also appear that the wife is in a LOT more danger from Mr. Middle Class than would be a priest whom he requested for a specific sacramental purpose.
I think that any priest would have reason to be concerned as to Mr. Middle Class's intentions if he asks last rites for himself as well as for his wife. Again, that would signal murder of wife followed by suicide rather than any danger to the priest. It is also entirely possible that Hubby wants the priest's arrival to terrorize the wife into accepting that she is about to die.
