> British scientists claimed Wednesday to have created
human sperm from embryonic stem cells for the first time...
I wonder if I am the only person to see the bitter irony in this.

Yeah, we’ll eventually end up with a bunch of humans that weren’t conceived the old-fashioned way. Eventually, the world’s population will all be the same color, speak the same language, and probably be of the same faith...no more wars, no more violence, no more love/hate. It will all be bred out of us.

To create a life form from another life form is cloning, is it not?

And the sick part is that they’re using embryonic stem cells to “create” these dodgy sperm. Where do these embryonic stem cells come from, I wonder.

The radical feminist are surely happy about this... consider the consequences ... no need for men anymore, even to have babies...
If the feminist had their way, they would exterminate men ... a society of all women ....

They created nothing. They extracted it at best. It's like saying you created Oxygen after applying a current to water.

That, coupled with the fact that they created a living embryo by using material harvested from a dead one...
If that isn’t sick I don’t know what is.

I got ahead of myself there. Should read:

Stem cells, by their nature, given the circumstances, can change into any type of cell.
As per the BBC video report, the scientists managed to induce the stem cells to split their chromosome pairs into two halves, grow a tail each, and the acrosomal caps.
The ‘achievement’ here, is to produce the circumstances artificially to make the stem cells follow a path that will lead them to become sperm cells.

Cloning is genetic duplication of an existing organism. What these researchers did was create a gamete (sperm) which would need to be combined with another gamete (egg) in order to develop into a new organism, and that organism would not be genetically identical to either of the organisms whose genetic material was used to produce the gametes.

What happened to curing Parkinson’s and making the lame walk and the blind see?
Instead, we can take an embryo which is an egg fertilized by a sperm, and kill it, and in the process manage to make a sperm that someone else can use to fertilize and egg to make an embryo?
Wow.
