VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) Former Vancouver police officer Clyde Ray Spencer spent nearly 20 years in prison after he was convicted of sexually molesting his son and daughter. Now, the children say it never happened.

I bet his ex-wife won the custody battle.
Why in the world would the ‘children’ wait 20 years to exonerate their father?
I don’t get it.
She said that when she finally read the police reports she was “absolutely sure” the abuse never happened.
“I would have remembered something that graphic, that violent,” Tetz said.
Poor man. What a tragedy. Twenty years!
“Both children said that while growing up in California they were told by their mother, who divorced Spencer before he was charged, that they were blocking out the memory of the abuse.
They said they realized as adults the abuse never happened, and they came forward because it was the right thing to do.”
They were afraid of their mother, and the same investigator probably told them they would go to jail if they changed their story.
Where in hell did you come up with that theory??
The two kids made statements and it looked airtight. And yet it wasn’t. It was a lie. But freepers will yell “castrate him”! on only an accusation. Scary.
I knew a kid that was threatened with jail if he refused to testify. It actually happens.
I know of a guy who this same thing happened to.
They have told him that if he would just acknowledge his abuse, they would release him.
He refuses to do that because it never happened.
I am sure there are others in the same situation.
I would be sure and correct my mistake. I might not have abused them then, but I would find a way now.
20 years out of a person’s life cannot be paid back with an apology.
Put them in jail to see how it feels to be locked up for 20yrs!
Expound on that would you please?
This kind of crap is a perfect example of why you should always have a cell phone or some other tech tool capable of recording. Obviously, not available at the time to prevent this. Shame.
I can't imagine what that guy has been through. All those years away, someone needs to be called to account for this travesty.
Expound on that? If a man is arrested for abuse there will invariably be freepers on the thread that call for castration. When you point out that it may not be true, the excuse is that some have to suffer to make sure the guilty are punished. I quit trying to reason with people on threads like that. I read them but it’s been several years since I asked them to reconsider their opinion.
Ping...
THAT"S DISGUSTING!
