A prison officer claims she was hounded out of her job by repeated criticism for being 'too sexy' and 'glammed up'.
Amitjo Kajla, 22, is demanding compensation from Justice Secretary Jack Straw.
The 5ft officer told an employment tribunal how colleagues complained that she wore too much make-up and that her clothing was more revealing than the standard-issue uniform, which had to be adapted to her tiny size-four frame.
One young inmate told her: 'Miss, you look sexy', prompting colleagues to warn the officer that her glamorous appearance left her at risk of being dragged into a cell.
Another inmate was overheard telling Miss Kajla: 'I wouldn't mind taking you back to a cell', the tribunal heard.
Miss Kajla claimed she was called a 'stupid little girl' by a senior colleague for putting her security at risk by sitting with prisoners during their 'free association' period.
She added that she was mocked by staff at Brinsford Young Offenders' Institution, in Featherstone, Staffordshire, for carrying a handbag and reprimanded for waving and saying 'hello' to inmates.
The remarks, often made in front of inmates and other staff, made her feel harassed and humiliated, she told the tribunal. 'I couldn't sleep at night because of the bullying and harassment. I lost weight and decided I couldn't take it any longer and resigned.'
Miss Kajla, from Wolverhampton, is claiming compensation for constructive unfair dismissal.

The legal term is “constructive dismissal”. It applies to an employer makes your job difficult and/or dangerous in a deliberate attempt to make you quit.
Not guilty!!!
I’d let her guard me any day. Just go easy with that night stick, sister!
Yes. She should probably consider Accountancy.
of course, she probably wants to be a Lion Tamer or...
...or... A LUMBERJACK!
I’m too sexy for my body.
Some years ago the body of a female guard was found at southern michigan prison in jackson. She had been raped and murdered by an inmate in a stairwell.
I agree.
I mean, I can see her throat in that picture... and... and... her EYES!
Too sexy for her job ping!
On the catwalk.
The prisoners would treat her much “better” given the opportunity.
Small, pretty and fraternizing with the convicts does not make for a long or successful career.
Yeah, I can see where she should be nowhere near a prison.
She could guard me anytime!
They had a cute little 5’ grandmother guarding a violent criminal here in Atlanta a while back. It didn’t work out well for her (shot in the face). Or the judge (dead). Or the court recorder (dead). Or the guy on the street in the wrong place at the wrong time (dead).
IMHO, I think she’s just plain dim. When you consider the British education system combined with the entitlement mentality, you end up with law enforcement folks who are a far cry from Sherlock Holmes or Miss Marple (I know they’re fictional).
What guard in their right mind waves to prisoners as she did? Definitely a future Darwin Awards candidate.
As far the beefy-type guys, a lot of them are already in prison or have felony records.
Undoubtedly the thought of filing suit and living off of the proceeds NEVER entered her mind prior to taking the job. Don’t all thin, good looking girls long to become prison guards?
Hardened? Hah! This is england, the land where they will throw hard time at you for being a big meanie.
"...at Brinsford Young Offenders' Institution"
I'm not sure what a young offenders' Institution is but it sounds like some kind of juvenile facility.
Are you kidding? In GB they IGNORE you unless you commit a violent crime. Look at what the police did about the career criminals who repeatedly broke into Tony Martin’s home... NOTHING!
Page 6?
We have a cop in rehab from bullet wounds delivered by an escapee wielding a gun wrested from a female guard during the escape; cop stopped the car for seat-belt violation.
Right here in Music City.
