Ok, here's my inventory. I have an old 12 gauge single shot in decent condition, and two handguns. A Sig P220 (45 ca) and a 9mm Glock (for work). I have some cash that will be worth less than it is now fairly soon, so I figure to invest in one or two more firearms. I would like suggestions and if you have any idea of price ranges just to narrow the focus. I'll have to go and try them out.

Thanks, and I will let you know what sounds good, what I look at and ultimately what I get.

Time to upgrade your shotgun inventory. Check out the tactical autoloading Mossberg or Remington versions with short barrels.
The pumps are a lot cheaper, just slower and have limited magazine capacity.

Get a pump or automatic shotgun at least. You can get decent ones for 2-3 hundred.

I just bought a Stoeger Cougar 9mm. It is the same gun as the Beretta Cougar, made by Beretta’s subsidiary Stoeger on the same machinery as the Cougar was made in the 90s. Very comfortable.

I notice you’re from NY. There, like here in NJ, many types of firearms are specifically banned. I learned that when I went to buy an AK type rifle. Careful what you purchase, as it may make you a target for law enforcement.

Every household should have three firearms at MINIMUM. A pistol, a rifle, and a shotgun. This is NOT optional.
You need a rifle of some kind.

Suggestions: Get an autoloading or pump shotgun, Mossberg or Remington (latter is pricier but prettier, both work just fine). Then if you have cash left get an FNAL .308 or CMMG gas piston .223 for SHTF situations. And PRACTICE.

That Glock you have is pretty good.
Sounds like an investment in ammunition is more in order.
IMHO

A sturdy revolver is always good to keep around. Say a S&W .357 or .38. I have a hammerless .357. Just point and shoot.
Stock up on ammo. It’s in very short supply by me. Ammo may become the next currency.

Yes, I have been stocking up. Hammerless huh? Safety or none?

I would agree with some of the posters.....you need to upgrade the shotgun..at least a Mossberg 500 and then get a rifle. That will give you a full range of options.

You need a rifle of some kind.
Sage advice. I was going to say you need an AR. Then I saw the post about NJ and NY. I'm not familiar with the level of freedom you enjoy in NY, but if the blissninnys "allow" it, get an AR. If the price is too steep on that, get an AK. Too steep still? Get a good lever action carbine in a rifle caliber.

Yes, NY. But am also CC in PA plus its reciprocal states..

Bought the FN 5.7 pistol. I really like the pistol. Came with 3 clips and holds 20 rounds in each. That should stop an intruder or two.
Great pistol to fire.
Have fun purchasing a new weapon no matter what you purchase.

You’re OK on semi-auto centerfire pistols. Upgrade your shotgun to at least a pump. You also need a rimfire rifle and some kind of centerfire rifle.
Can’t make recomendations cuz I don’t know how you see using them. Self defense? Hunting, targets and plinking?
