Ever get smallpox?
Me neither. I did test positive for TB. Had to get a chest X-Ray evey 5 years or so, or when I had a physical if it had been longer. They never saw anything and finally stopped doing them. Last one I had was pre-surgery, and they would have done that for anyone of my age group going under general anesthesia.
just the painful shot
I had the rubella shot back in the day, and when I was pregnant with my first child, they tested me and I was NOT immune! The nurse tried to give me the shot right then, and I said, “No, I don’t know that it’s a good idea to give while I’m pregnant!” The doctor came in and concurred, but I did take the shot after my son was born.
I think there was a whole batch of us who did not get lifetime immunity from that vaccine.
