If I were in the States I would be there if I had to hitch rides and sleep outside on a cardboard box for a couple of nights . Alas , I am in Japan . How are we going to inform the general public that this is going to take place ?

Well, I’m booking my Flight next week. After that I may have to work the the Maryland network of friends, former workers, to get a place to stay....or if next payday on Aug. 15th I can afford the “Freepers” hotel.....who knows.
As a former GOE moonbat counter demonstrator, veteran of 3 Eagle “events’ and having “marched” with Chris Hill and with Michelle Malkin and our veterans, and having walked the Halls for GOE in support of Gen. Petraeus in 2008, I look forward to the effort, the the wonderful conservative surround sound of my fellow patriots (plus the physical challenge of being on my feet all day). I’m expecting to be ‘noticed’ by someone in DC.
Meanwhile, I’m in PT for whatever else is needed. Don’t mess with Texas, or my Country....or I’m coming to your doorstep....

I and the spousal unit will be driving from downeast Maine, staying in northern Virginia, and taking the Metro into the city.

But September is not going to be nearly enough. Next year, we need to divide all of us up so we can have groups of people in D.C. and in capitols and major cities around the country week after week, shutting down vehicular traffic. There is absolutely no other way to get Congress’ attention. Should we have to go to this “extreme”? No. But how else can we take our country back?

If the Freepers had a block of hotel rooms, and some kind of organization and program, times and places to meet and do things, I would commit to going and would make a deposit/donation right away.

Yes, I have my hotel reservations and my money has been sent in for my convention ticket, but no info back if all is well for it.
I am in a clinical trial at the National Cancer Institute. Adoptive Cell Transfer, a form of immunotherapy being researched for treatment of Stage 4 malignant melanoma. Right now it looks like my cells should be ready for infusion in late August / early September. First, a week of myeloablative chemo and whole body radiation are given, then the 45 +/- billion genetically engineered killer cells produced from a tumor removed from my lung in June are infused, followed by as many doses of Interleukin-2 at 8 hour intervals that the body can tolerate.
If I am in a condition which allows for a “pass” for several hours on that day, I will try to be there! Look for the bald guy who looks like he just got run over by a big truck! Dr Steven Rosenberg has given 38 years of his career working on a treatment breakthru for this disease. Now that significant durable results are starting to be seen in Phase 2 trials, it is NOT the time to curtail funding for this kind of research. I thank God that I have been a recipient of such cutting edge technology. I pray that many others will someday benefit.
I am flying in from Colorado for the FR Convention and the Tea Party...and of course the Walter Reed “Support The Troops” event with the DC FReepers.

Sadly, they did not check the dates for the FR convention
when they did this.
So you can't go. Does that mean you won't do ANYTHING to support this effort? I refuse to believe that about freepers. Freepmail Committee Co-Chair, "Seek the Truth", and find out what you can do to help back this convention and Tea Party protest.
