I’m not quite 45 years old yet and the AARP sends me emails nearly daily inviting me to join.
Idiots.
they sent me mailings damn near weekly at one point to join years back. I knew nothing about ‘em so I did a little looking. I found that their stance on hunting, fishing and the second Amendment was poor at best. that is all it took for myself. I do not know if now they have those same beliefs but it does not matter, deathcare alone should be a/the reason not to support this group. just my 2 cents.

Seriously, they sent me a membership offer when I was in my late 30’s. The rebel in me wanted to join just because it said you had to be 50.
Of course, Reader’s Digest used to send out stuff that said “You have been a subscriber since 19**” and the year they gave was before I was born.
I guess reports of my birth have been greatly exaggerated.
My 27 year old daughter gets stuff from them about once a month even though I have called and written to them that she is 27, married and living in a different state. ‘Idiots’ is right!
