Are prominent veins caused by exercising like crazy then?

“Madonna does look like she's overtrained — the lack of body fat and the prominent veins can't be healthy, either mentally or physically,” says Kathryn Freeland, founder of London's Absolute Fitness whose clients include Cate Blanchett.

Ben Kilner of Fit4Life London Physio & Personal Training at The May Fair Hotel says: “As we get older, our skin becomes thinner and doesn't store fat so well which makes the veins more visible. So it could be overtraining or she could finally be showing her age.”

You know what? If she wants to work out like that, more power to her.

I'm currently continuing my road to more and more physical activity. I'm not going to make fun of Madonna for doing the same.

Aging can be difficult. You want to feel like you are constantly improving. If getting muscular does it for her, then whatever gets you through the night, I say.

You’d think when her arms first started looking like that, she’d have cut down on the exercising. The goal of exercising is supposed to be to look BETTER. It looks like she has hardly any lines on her face, so clearly she wants to look good, and young. Yet she let her arms get to that state, and even wears short sleeves as if she wants to show them off.
