Tomorrow begins an important week for Alaskans.
On Monday, state lawmakers will meet to override my veto of stimulus funds. As Governor, I did my utmost to warn our legislators that accepting stimulus funds will further tie Alaska to the federal government and chip away at Alaskas right to chart its own course. Enforcing the federal building code requirements, which Governor Parnell and future Governors will be forced to adopt in order to accept these energy funds, will eventually cost the state more than it receives. There are clear ropes attached, and Alaskans will soon find themselves tied down by codes which will dictate how we can build and renovate our homes and businesses. The state has hundreds of millions of dollars already budgeted for conservation, weatherization, and renewable energy development. Legislators dont need to play politics as usual and accept these funds and the ropes that come with them.
Also this week, Alaskans will join Senators Murkowski and Begich in town hall meetings to discuss the current health care legislation. There are many disturbing details in the current bill that Washington is trying to rush through Congress, but we must stick to a discussion of the issues and not get sidetracked by tactics that seek to intimidate or harass. Such tactics have no place in our nations civil discourse. Lets show the country that Alaskans remain civil and respectful while also passionately debating what many of us believe is seriously flawed legislation. Lets not give the proponents of nationalized health care any reason to criticize us. Well show the country how its done in the Last Frontier.

Very strange how these postings keep on getting removed, what gives?
There were duplicate posts of this item. I posted first so I think they removed the other one because it was a duplicate.
I like that.
Given the response to her healthcare postings this weekend, I think she just became our shadow president. The derangement from the left over her remarks confirms it for me...LOL.
This...my fellow Americans...is what we call “a leader”.
The only reason why someone posted that was to undermine her. They hated the fact that she was getting this media attention and wanted to take it away. It won’t work. I can post an article about Romney supporting Romneycare, isn’t that the same thing as ObamaCare
It’s hilarious and transparent.
Palin gets this is a complex issue. On top of this, it wasn’t like she could “go rogue” and disagree with the top of the ticket. lol
I’m sure we’ll get the full extent of her position in time...but we know for starters that she opposes illegal aliens getting driver’s licenses.
They did it because today Politico had a poll asking which candidate has the best chance in 2012, hint hint, it wasn’t Romney, Sarah Palin is winning that poll by over 12 points right now. First she was behind Romney now she is creaming his butt. So yeah, this is all orchestrated because they are afraid Romney will get his ass beat in 2012. The way Romney supporters smear a Conservative, to me, is no different then Obama supporters. They all talk the same way you notice, smear, diss, destroy
Ping! (Sorry this isn’t the full current ping list, I’m not at my home PC, where the full list is. The rest will be updated later.)
Sheila Jackson (Microphone) Lee, our beloved camera-hungry Rep. from down here in Houston was spotted this weekend AVOIDING a TV camera!
The healthcare nazis are in SERIOUS trouble...LOL.
I think she just became our shadow president.

Sarah Palin and Jim Demint are the front runners for Conservatives...there’s a whole new crop coming up...we’ve not heard the last from Bobby Jindal either.
“she didn’t completely disagree with her running mate”

She had to walk a tight rope with him - don’t you know. Both Demint and Palin are now FREED to speak their minds...I think we’re going to get the straight skinny on things from those two.

Right now, she’s winning by 24 points...

Who do you think is the most likely Republican presidential contender for 2012?
Newt Gingrich 5 %
Mike Huckabee 4 %
Sarah Palin 48 %
Mitt Romney 24 %
Someone else. 15 %
I’m not sure. 3 %
Results are based on 25625 votes

Operation Chaos, in reverse? Don’t you think the Ds would love Romney to win the R nomination - and split us in two?
Well, Parnell is supposed to continue sarah’s policies. It’s in his lap now. Alaskans need to let him know that they vote “no” on accepting stimulus.
