Hold on now,

Favre had something like a tendon tear in his throwing arm while he was a Jet.

Now, if that is healed or repaired and his arm is the way it was then what`s the down side?

“The problem is his desperate need to be the center of attention off the field”....this is your opinion. You are not inside Brett's head. Ditto for the “primadonna routines” comment.

Question: since you just can't stand Brett anymore, on or off the field, why do you keep up on what is going on in Brett's on the field, off the field life? OBTW, who is your favorite player, Charlie Brown's Lucy????

I think it is too late, but have a great day.

That’s not my opinion, that’s simple fact. Why else would a guy go through the cycle Favre has gone through just this year, retrie, then say maybe not, then negotiate, then decide never mind, and finally sign?! And this isn’t the first year he’s done this. This is pure LOOK AT ME attention whore behavior.

I keep up on football and thanks to Brett’s need to be the center of attention keeping up on football in the off season always means knowing what’s going on in Brett land. Nobody has been able to put together an hour of football news this year without 5 minutes being taken up by Brett.

I’m having a great day, my Steelers are looking good, and The Packers are going to get a chance to seek bloody revenge on their once great player who turned into a twit.

That’s the problem. He was raised to play football. From Pop Warner all the way to the Superbowl. He probably doesn’t have any other “interests”.........sad, really.....................

One of David Letterman’s last funny items many years ago: The Joe Theismann pencil sharpener. Had a picture of Theismann on it and the lower leg was the crank.

I’m not convinced he will beat Green Bay twice. I have a feeling he’s going to be a serious liability for the Vikings. That’s a team that should be winning with their running game and their defense, and the kind of turnovers Favre will inevitably generate at this point in his career are going to force them to play from behind a lot more often than they’d like.

The Packers, on the other hand, seem to be really coming along with the 3-4, and that has the potential to put a lot more pressure on Favre when they play.

Yes you can reply anytime you want, you can get inside Brett’s head and convey to the world “facts” and you can even throw a temper tantrum when your Steelers get their butts kicked. What you cannot do is make me like or dislike anything, not even your posts. That falls within my purview. And guess what???? my favorite sport is real football, aka soccer. Gotta go, so my parting words to you.....continue to have a rotten day ;)

I honestly see him fading as the year progresses.

As an aside, I think the Packers made a great move getting Dom Capers to run the defense.

Vikings make it to NFC Championship

And he'll throw 5 interceptions in the Championship game.

The Packer defense was flying all over the place against Cleveland Saturday night. Granted Cleveland's got a new coach, and lots of young players; but the defense looked solid.

Rodgers... I'll take him over Favre at this point. We loved Favre when he played in Green Bay, but the drama queen stuff has grown awfully tiresome.

This story is so old now it really isn’t funny anymore.

All of us could say in unison how much we respected Brett, be it a Packer fan or a team that Brett beat into submission, it didn’t matter.....

But even with giving Brett the benefit of the doubt for last’s years debacle, considering the way the Packers handled it, I can’t give Brett the same latitude here. There’s a lot of dissapointment here as far as I’m concerned and it will tarnish what was a great career......

What Brett did is no different than Jon Carry and the flipflopping.....

When it comes to Brett it’s very simple: if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck it’s probably a duck. When a person repeatedly of the course of multiple years drags out the “retirement” process in a way that is constantly making him front page news he’s an attention whore. I mean some of that is to be expected to start with, there haven’t been very many shy introverted starting QBs in NFL history, but Brett’s taken it to a ridiculous level. I’ve never thrown a temper tantrum when my Steelers got whipped, I’ve never thrown a temper tantrum related to sports at all. I don’t really care what you like or dislike, I’m just pointing out that there are perfectly valid reasons for people to be sick of Brett’s routine here. And again, I ain’t having a rotten day, no matter how much you seem to wish I would.

Perhaps Favre was just waiting for Vick to be signed so he could be assured he’d have the spotlight all to himself.

Timing is everything in life, gotsta get the headlines.

How are ya? Haven’t seen you in forever. What do you think the Pats chances are? I really like the Steelers’ schedule this year, a tough out against the Titans (who creamed us last year) to start the year is just what the Dr ordered to keep away the SB hangover, then a little coasting before the next tough out. Nice week 8 bye week too. Trying not to get my hopes up, our recent rings both came when I thought we were doomed, but this should be a 12-4 or better schedule.

Well at least you won’t have to deal with Haynesworth this year when you face them. We get them at Gillette as well.
If the Pats don’t get hit too bad by the injury bug (like losing our QB) then they should get at least 12 wins.
